Easy Way to Boost Content and Traffic
October 30th, 2006
If you’re looking to beef up your content (whether its for a blog post, a web page, or a special report), a good way to do that is include examples with each subpoint of your article.
By doing this, you relate to the reader even more. The situation you outline may be one they’ve found themselves in before, or it might be something similar that they can identify with.
It also helps them visualize what you’re trying to get across by providing real-life examples that explain your point even more.
I’ll give you an example (hint, hint).
In my Traffic Generating Ideas Mini-Course (which you can sign up for free in the form above), I point out some mistakes that many people make in writing headlines that cost them traffic. I add to this topic further by giving examples of good headlines and not-so-good headlines.
This adds to the content, and also helps the reader understand even more about writing good headlines. Hopefully it also gives them some ideas for more topics to write about.
So if you’re writing a blog post, a web page, a downloadable report, or an information product - you should go through each paragraph and see where you can insert some examples to add to your content and the value.
Not only does this help your readers, but if you’re writing online this also helps with the search engines. Search engines like Google LOVE content. The more you have, the more chances you have of people finding your site or blog through search. And that my friend, is what you call free traffic - the best kind!
