Off to British Columbia

I’m heading to British Columbia, near the Okanagan Valley, for a family reunion tomorrow. We’ll be tenting it over the weekend, then when the reunion is over we’ll be staying at a relative’s cabin. He’s a millionaire so he should have some swanky digs.

We’ll be doing lots of boating apparently. He has a pontoon and a crapload of Jetskis (or however you spell them water machine thingies – too lazy to look it up). I’ve never been on one in my life so hopefully I don’t injure myself. If I never post again, you’ll know what happened to me.

I haven’t been to very many places in Canada, and I’ve only been out of the country once, but I do know that BC is one of the most beautiful places in the country. I can’t wait to see it again! I live in Saskatchewan which is known for being flatter than a pancake. We have fields, fields, and more fields. Nothing much to look at when you’re driving down the highway.

BC on the other hand is just amazing! I’ll be taking some pictures with my crappy camera while I’m there and hope to post some when I get back.

This is going to be a much needed break for me. My kids are both staying with my grandma who is the most amazing lady in the world. I don’t know what I would do without her! I’ll be gone for 10 days which will be the longest I’ve ever been away from my babies before. I’ll enjoy my time off immensely but I’m not sure how long I can go without seeing them before I break down in tears.

I don’t plan on working, but I will be bringing along my notebook since I’m sure to be inspired with all the beautiful surroundings. When I come back, I hope to be refreshed and will get back to blogging with a clear head.

By the way, don’t try and break into my house while I’m away because it won’t be empty. I’m getting new hardwood floors and hopefully a dishwasher. Not that I have anything valuable to steal, but just thought I’d throw that in there. :)

Take care while I’m gone. Blog at ya soon!

Hey Cassie,

How interesting I live in BC, in Vancouver though. The area you are going to is wonderful. I’m sure you will love it. Have fun.

Thanks Anna, I did have fun. We were camping in Vernon but apparently the weather was pretty crappy compared to what they normally have.

We also got stuck in the mountains for a few hours because of an accident, but at least we had some great scenery to look at while we roasted on the pavement :)
