@LGR - Never heard of that one before but it looks like a good one for busy Tweeters. I prefer to stay out of my browser as much as possible (too many distractions) so I prefer the desktop applications. Thanks for the comment! :)

I don't care for Twhirl, Tweetdeck is ok I have to use it. Personally my favourite is PeopleBrowsr http://www.peoplebrowsr.com/

It is web based so you don't need anything except your web browser, handles multiple accounts and services, let's you create groups, saearch and let's you create custom columns. I use it for the majority of my tweeting these days.

LGR’s last blog post..Tweetbucks - Tweet Your Way to the Bank?

Yep, I noticed I wasn't getting all my replies either in Twitter but they were coming through on Twhirl.

Actually its funny... I used to use twirl a lot, and then for some reason stopped. I had a friend finally tell me that I was probably not getting all the replies because I was NOT using twirl... come to find out- she was right!!! I will most definately stick with twirl from now on!!! Funny that its more reliable than Twitter itself!!!

The big kicker for me was the fact that Twhirl also supports Friend Feed. Tracking both services in one app saves time and really helps you keep on top of things. If Friend Feed isn't your bag (though it should be), you could also try another AIR client for Twitter called Spaz. Has some great features but is still a beta.

Cheers,
Nez

Yep, Twhirl was pretty quirky for me as well although I noticed that every time Thwirl wasn't working, either was TweetDeck. With TweetDeck however, you can still post while Twitter is down, then it just tweets it for you once it's back up. I think anyway. Even so, I still prefer Thwirl.

I've never even heard of tweet deck until I just read this. I've been using Twhirl for awhile now and I like it but it seems like there had been lots of little quirks with it. It was always down for me but I haven't had any issues lately (knock on wood!!!!).
